Commercial disclosure
Affiliate disclosure
How referral links may earn money for RoleClimb and what that means for your decision.
The key point
RoleClimb may earn a commission from qualifying referrals. That relationship should be clear near the relevant recommendation. You never need to purchase software to read our guides.
How a referral can generate a commission
An affiliate link is an outbound link with information that can help a program attribute a qualifying action to RoleClimb. Depending on the program, compensation might follow a purchase, a paid upgrade or another defined action.
RoleClimb does not collect your subscription payment. The provider sets the price, bills you, supplies the product and handles its cancellation or refund process. A referral is not a guarantee that a commission will be paid or that the tool will help you get hired.
How to recognize paid links
Where a configured referral link appears in our new guides or tool directory, the page explains that RoleClimb may earn a commission. A label near the link reinforces that notice. This page supplies more context; it should not be the only place a commercial relationship is revealed.
The FTC's guidance addresses material connections and clear, conspicuous disclosures. Our disclosures are intended to make that connection understandable, not to imply government endorsement of this website. (FTC — Endorsement Guides: questions and answers, opens in a new tab)
Current links and program status
A product can be listed before RoleClimb is accepted into its referral program. The current page-level notice explains whether configured affiliate links are used on that page. An application to a program is not an approval, and a provider's ordinary homepage is not a personal referral link.
We do not label products as partners merely because they appear in the directory. Official resource links, such as government guidance, are not paid recommendations.
What should—and should not—change your choice
Affiliate income is a business incentive. Readers should consider that incentive alongside the recommendation, its evidence and its limits. We do not ask you to buy a tool just to support the website.
Use our evaluation questions: does the service solve your problem, what will it cost over the period you need it, what data will you share and is a free option enough? Check the provider's final checkout rather than assuming a quoted plan includes every feature.
We do not promise that every referral link offers a discount or the lowest available price. Any verified promotion should state its conditions separately.
Sponsored content and complaints
Content purchased as advertising must be labeled as advertising or sponsorship rather than disguised as an independent verdict. Access to a free trial or complimentary plan, when material to a review, should also be disclosed.
Report a missing disclosure or unclear recommendation through Contact. For charges, refunds or account problems with a provider, contact the provider directly; RoleClimb cannot access your account.
